Greg & Dana Newkirk Talk Haunted Objects, The Crone, and More on Nerdist’s Bizarre States

Greg and Dana Newkirk dropped by the Nerdist’s Burbank offices for a live recording of Jessica Chobot and Andrew Bowser’s Bizarre States, and of course, they had to bring a few of the most active artifacts from The Traveling Museum of the Paranormal & Occult. Things got.. a little weird, to say the least.

In the episode, the duo discusses their semi-creepy love story, their top-secret alien abduction experiment, the humble beginnings of the paranormal museum, and of course, haunted objects like The Dark Mirror“Billy” the Idol of Nightmares, and The Crone, which Chobot lovingly nicknamed the “Swamp Witch Totem”.

Fun facts: Greg & Dana somehow managed to not start quoting Onyx the Fortuitous (AKA “Weird Satanist Guy”) to Bowser, Chobot gave Billy her necklace as an offering, we the Newkirks gifted Bizarre States their very own antique scrying mirror, and Chobot got super sick after The Crone was removed from her case. Off camera she mentioned the feeling of needles stabbing her neck and even had to bail on work the following day, but it gets even weirder. If you’re a member of the Traveling Museum of the Paranormal & Occult, you can watch a great clip of a semi-disturbed Bizarre States crew member explaining how his photos of the artifacts were corrupting as soon as they were taken.

Maybe next time we visit Bizarre States The Crone will stay at home.
