The Corrupted Testament

This ragged New Testament was used to wrestle hundreds of believers from the grips of Satan while in the hands of a New York-based deliverance minister in the early 1800s. The book saw so many battles with evil that the foreheads of the oppressed have left a clearly visible sweat stain in the leather binding.

Citing lingering sulfuric odors, insect infestations, and an overwhelming feeling of unease, the descendants of the minister donated the item to the museum. Those who’ve held the book have reported experiencing strange phenomena ranging from temporary dissociative episodes, to full-body trembling, to the sensation of being observed by an unseen entity.
