The world’s first mobile museum of the unexplained, the Traveling Museum of the Paranormal & Occult is the only place where curious guests can hold real haunted objects, meet the occult experts who’ve spent their lives collecting supernaturally-influenced artifacts and researching the unexplained, and even help further the field of paranormal research by investigating the mysterious pieces themselves.
Our mission is to bring allegedly haunted, cursed, and otherwise supernaturally-influenced objects to the public in an effort to promote further study into the timeless mysteries of the unexplained.
Rather than hoard their incredible collection of haunted items behind a dusty glass case at Weird HQ, paranormal investigators Greg Newkirk and Dana Matthews established The Traveling Museum of the Paranormal & Occult, a roving display of the most fascinating artifacts collected during their supernatural adventures.
Since 2014, Greg and Dana’s traveling museum of the weird has been fascinating, educating, and terrifying guests at some of the country’s most popular conventions and private events like Strange Escapes, ScareFest, and Ghost Adventures‘ Nick Groff’s cross-country tour.
By freely sharing the only collection of independently-studied haunted objects in the world, the Traveling Museum of the Paranormal and the Occult provides unprecedented access to evidence of the supernatural, removing items of paranormal notoriety from private collectors and placing them directly into the hands of those curious about the wide world of the strange and the unexplained.
With a few extreme exceptions, all artifacts in the museum are available to view, hold, photograph, and even test by the general public and paranormal investigators alike.

The Traveling Museum of the Paranormal & Occult is curated by Greg Newkirk and Dana Matthews, paranormal professionals with two decades of experience in the investigation of the the strange and the unexplained.
Often referred to as the real-life Mulder and Scully, Greg Newkirk and Dana Matthews are internationally-recognized authorities in the areas of haunted objects, paranormal research, and weird travel. Their groundbreaking work in the fields of parapsychology, cryptozoology, and the alien abduction phenomena have seen the duo featured in print and online publications like Kotaku, Yahoo! News, and the CBC, in books like Encyclopedia of the World’s Most Haunted Places, and television appearances on shows such as Finding Bigfoot (Animal Planet), Kindred Spirits (TLC) and Mysteries at the Museum (Travel). Additionally, Greg and Dana remain regular guests on leading radio programs like Coast to Coast AM, Midnight in the Desert, and podcasts like Mysterious Universe.
For the last twenty years, Greg and Dana have traversed North America on hundreds of paranormal adventures in search of everything from legendary monsters to mind bending psychic phenomena, covering everything in between. They’ve come face-to-face with Bigfoot deep in the hills of West Virginia, successfully orchestrated an alien abduction on North Carolina’s mysterious Brown Mountain, and grappled with angry ghosts in a violently-cursed town in rural Pennsylvania, to name just a few adventures.
When they’re not busy tracking down the strange and the unexplained, Greg and Dana can be found lecturing across the country on the subject of the paranormal, consulting on major media projects on the supernatural, and acting as writers and editors for the Week in Weird, one of the web’s most-visited news sources for true tales of paranormal, the occult, and the just plain weird.
The Advisory Board is an integral part of the Traveling Museum of the Paranormal & Occult’s future. Their contributions to the museum’s work with supernaturally-significant artifacts, public education regarding the reality of haunted objects, and paranormal investigation in general, are invaluable to the success of our mission.
Whether paranormal investigators, folklorists, or museum enthusiasts, the Advisory Board is made up of a diverse group of individuals with at least one thing in common: they’re making history by directly impacting the preservation and investigation of rare artifacts with ties to the supernatural.
